It depends on where you buy. Licenses bought on wpresidence.net cover 1, 3 or 10 websites, and one live domain counts as one website. A ThemeForest license covers one domain. See pricing.

Yes, you can use the license on a test domain and move to a live domain when ready.

No, you do not need the extended license. You only need a regular license to use full theme options, including payments.

Demo import is not a guaranteed support service, but if you need help, open a ticket at care.wpestate.org and we can assist. First make sure your hosting meets the server requirements; your hosting company can set them for you.

We are always open to help with minor changes  which involve changing a few lines of code or css customizations.

However, for complex modifications that require a more in-depth analysis of the changes you wish to make, we will not be able to assist. We can  advise on our existing code files for any theme feature available if you wish such directions.

Installation & Setup

Download the installable theme file (wpresidence.zip) from where you bought it: your wpresidence.net purchase or your ThemeForest downloads. In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme, upload the zip and click Activate. You are then asked to install the required plugins from Appearance → Install Plugins. For a step-by-step guide, see WPResidence Theme Installation Guide.

Yes. After activating the theme you are asked to install these required plugins: WPResidence Core Functionality, WPResidence Elementor Addon, WPResidence Elementor Design Studio, WPEstate CRM and One Click Demo Import. ThemeForest licenses also use Envato Market for updates. Optional plugins include WPEstate Multi Language (Translate), WPResidence Gutenberg Blocks, Slider Revolution, WPBakery and MLSImport (sold separately).

Yes, WPResidence can run on shared hosting as long as your server meets the minimum requirements: PHP 8.0 or higher, WordPress 6.7 or higher, MySQL 5.6 or higher, HTTPS enabled, and PHP limits such as 512M memory, 600s max execution time, 64M post max size, and 64M upload max filesize. Required PHP extensions include XMLReader and cURL. If your shared host cannot meet these, you may need to upgrade to a higher hosting plan.

Yes. WPResidence works well on managed WordPress hosting providers as long as they support PHP 8.0+, WordPress 6.7+, MySQL 5.6+, and the required PHP extensions (XMLReader and cURL). Some managed hosts add aggressive caching by default — if demo import fails, temporarily disable caching until setup is complete.

The minimum required PHP version is 8.0. Using older PHP versions can cause fatal errors. For best performance and security, always run the latest stable PHP version supported by your hosting.

No. WPResidence works with the free version of Elementor. The theme includes custom Elementor widgets so you can build pages without Elementor Pro. You may also use Gutenberg blocks or WPBakery if you prefer.

It depends on your license:

  • wpresidence.net license: new versions show in Dashboard → Updates, like any other theme.
  • ThemeForest license: install the Envato Market plugin, connect it with your Envato token and update from there.

After updating the theme, update the bundled plugins from Appearance → Install Plugins and clear all caches. Back up your site first, read the changelog, and keep your code changes in a child theme.

You can also adjust display rules under Advanced Search Display to show the search form globally, only on property pages, or in specific categories.

In addition, WPResidence includes a dedicated Elementor Search Form Builder. With this, you can drag and drop search fields directly in Elementor and design a fully custom search form without coding. You can control the layout, colors, spacing, and field order visually in the Elementor editor, making it easy to match the search bar style to the rest of your website.

Maps & Geolocation

Yes. WPResidence lets you choose between Google Maps or OpenStreetMap for property mapping. You can enable Google Maps by entering your API key in Theme Options → Maps → Maps General Settings.

Yes. OpenStreetMap is fully supported and doesn’t require an API key. WPResidence will use default OSM tiles unless you provide a Mapbox key.

Yes. You can enable marker clustering so properties close to each other group into a single cluster icon for better performance and clarity. This is configurable in the theme’s map settings.

Yes. In Theme Options → Maps → Maps Pins Management you can upload your own pin for each property type (such as sale or rent), each category (such as house or condo) and each combination of the two.

Yes. The radius search finds listings around a location, and the Half Map layout shows the results on the map as visitors change the filters.

Yes, for display. Upload a GeoJSON boundary file on a property category (Properties → Categories), and the Term Map Elementor widget draws it on the map. Drawing shapes on the map to filter listings is not supported.

Yes. With Google Maps, property maps can show nearby places: transport, supermarkets, schools, restaurants, pharmacies and hospitals. You can also show Walk Score and Yelp results on property pages.

Yes, WalkScore integration is optional but available. Just enter your WalkScore API key in Theme Options → Property Page → Walkscore section → Walkscore API Key to display scores on listings.

No. WPResidence does not natively support showing transit or transport routes (e.g., bus/train lines) on map overlays.

Yes. If using Google Maps, you can enable Street View based on a property’s latitude and longitude. The theme retrieves Street View images automatically if the “Enable Google Street View” option is turned on.

IDX/MLS & Integrations

Yes. WPResidence works with the iHomefinder Optima Express IDX plugin. You enable it from Theme Options → MLS – IDX – RESO. IDX listings are displayed through the plugin and do not inherit the theme’s search or card design.

Yes. WPResidence connects to MLS via the RESO Web API when you use the MLSImport plugin, a separate product sold at mlsimport.com. This ensures RESO-compliant MLS listings are imported directly into the theme.

Yes. MLSImport is a separate product, sold on its own. With it, properties are imported as regular listings, synced automatically, and displayed with the theme’s layouts, search and maps.

No. RETS is not supported. The recommended approach is the modern RESO Web API through MLSImport.

Yes, with MLSImport. It checks for new and changed listings every hour, and a daily check removes listings that are no longer on the MLS.

Not directly. Real Estate Webmasters IDX can be installed as a plugin, but the listings will not use WPResidence search forms or layouts. For full integration, MLSImport is required.

Yes. WPResidence supports iHomefinder Optima Express IDX. The plugin manages its own display and search functionality separate from the theme’s search system.

Yes, but only as a standalone plugin. Listings from Showcase IDX will not integrate with WPResidence search forms or card templates.

You can also show dsIDXpress listings on the theme’s Google map, from Theme Options → MLS – IDX – RESO.

Membership & Payments

Yes. WPResidence includes a membership system that lets you define packages with a payment cycle (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly), the number of listings included, featured listings, package price, and expiration settings. Create packages in wp-admin → Membership Packages, and switch membership mode on in Theme Options → Submission & Membership → Membership Settings.

Coupon codes are not natively supported in the core Theme Options, but if using WooCommerce you can create coupon codes through WooCommerce’s discount system.

WPResidence does not directly manage VAT or sales tax settings. If you use WooCommerce for payment processing, tax settings can be configured within WooCommerce.

Yes. Every purchase creates an invoice, whatever the payment method. Users see and print their invoices from the My Invoices page in their dashboard.

Yes. Each membership package lets you set limits on how many listings and featured listings an agent can have.

Yes. You can configure an extra fee for featured listings in paid submission or membership settings.

Yes. Users can switch to another package from their dashboard. If they move to a package with fewer listings than they already use, their listings are set to expired, so plan downgrades carefully.

Not explicitly in membership settings. Pricing is configured per package and is not content-type-specific (residential vs commercial). You would need to create separate packages for each listing type if differentiation is required.

Yes. With the free membership option, new users get a set number of free listings and featured listings. To charge for featured listings, sell packages that include featured slots. In pay-per-listing mode, the submission fee must be above zero, and users can add the featured upgrade when they pay.

Yes. Agencies and Developers can register or be manually created, and then add agents from their dashboard. They can control agents’ activation and membership package access.

Yes. Users can save search filters and receive email alerts when new listings match those filters. These are managed within the user dashboard.

Yes. WPResidence includes a Schedule a Tour feature on the property page. Enable it in Theme Options → Property page → Contact & Schedule Tour. You can use the Classic schedule button that opens a date and time picker, or show a separate Schedule Tour section under the agent contact form. Path: Theme Options → Property Card options or use the Property Card Composer.

Yes. When an agent’s Mobile/WhatsApp number is filled in, WhatsApp buttons show on the agent contact bar and on property cards. You can also add your company’s WhatsApp link to the social icons in Theme Options → Social & Contact → Social Accounts.

Marketing & SEO

Yes. It is compatible with popular SEO plugins like Yoast and All in One SEO, and includes clean, semantically structured code.

The theme does not add property schema on its own. Use an SEO or schema plugin that supports custom post types and set it up for the property post type (estate_property).

Partly. On property pages the theme adds the Open Graph image and description, so shared links show the property photo. For full Open Graph tags on every page, use an SEO plugin such as Yoast or All in One SEO.

Yes. Add your Google Analytics tracking ID in Theme Options → General → General Settings, or use any Analytics plugin.

Can I track property views in WPResidence?
Yes. WPResidence tracks property views natively and shows them in the User Dashboard and on the property page. Create a page with the User Dashboard Stats template to view charts, and use My Properties → View Stats to see views per listing. The property page can also display a views chart and you can customize the chart colors in the theme’s JS. No extra plugin is required.

Not natively. WPResidence does not include newsletter functionality. You’ll need to use a dedicated email marketing plugin such as MailPoet, Mailchimp, or FunnelKit to create and send newsletters.

WPResidence does not ship with a native Mailchimp integration. However, you can connect to Mailchimp through forms and email marketing plugins like Mailchimp’s WordPress integration or third-party form tools compatible with the theme.

Yes. In the WPEstate CRM settings, open the HubSpot tab, enable the integration and paste your HubSpot Private App access token (it starts with pat-). New and updated contacts and deals are sent to HubSpot. Each agent or agency can also add their own HubSpot key. See HubSpot integration.

Yes. You can embed lead capture forms via Elementor, shortcodes, or theme templates. WPResidence-compatible form plugins or integrations like HubSpot can capture leads and sync them automatically.

Not built-in. WPResidence does not provide dedicated property RSS feeds. Use a plugin or custom code to expose RSS for listings if needed for aggregation or syndication purposes.

Yes. With Elementor (free), WPResidence’s Design Studio, or Gutenberg, you can build custom landing pages using pre-made templates or by designing pages from scratch. That allows you to create targeted lead-gen pages, agent portfolios, or market area showcases.

Performance & Security

Yes. The theme caches heavy database queries, such as property lists, and this cache is on by default. You can turn it off, or minify CSS and JS files, in Theme Options → Advanced Settings → Theme Speed Settings.

Yes. WPResidence is compatible with external caching plugins (such as WP Fastest Cache or Wp Rocket) and does not interfere with HTML or CSS caches. The built-in cache enhances performance, but caching plugins can layer on top for further optimization.

Yes. WPResidence works well with Cloudflare-provided caching and CDN features. Use Cloudflare to serve assets quickly and reduce load times globally. Make sure to configure Cloudflare’s caching settings to work with the theme’s internal cache.

Yes. WP Rocket (or other optimization plugins) can be used effectively with WPResidence. These plugins complement the theme’s caching by enabling minification, file concatenation, and lazy loading of images.

Yes. WPResidence implements lazy loading for images in carousels and listings to decrease initial load. This is especially useful on pages with many property images, improving perceived speed and user experience.

Yes. With caching, minification, and lazy loading built in, WPResidence ensures improved performance metrics such as Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) when configured properly. You can review these via tools like PageSpeed Insights.

Yes. WPResidence fully supports integration with CDNs. Serving media files and assets via a CDN like Cloudflare or BunnyCDN can significantly reduce loading time for visitors worldwide.

Yes, on the register forms, including registration during property submission. Enable it in Theme Options → Header → Register reCaptcha Settings.

Yes. WPResidence works over HTTPS. The theme detects and loads assets securely when your site uses SSL. You can force HTTPS URLs on site pages via WordPress and theme settings.

Yes. WPResidence is compatible with standard WordPress two-factor authentication plugins (such as Authy or Google Authenticator). These can be added at the user level without disrupting theme functionality.

The theme is actively maintained and has a large user base (32,000+ buyers and 1,600+ reviews averaging 4.85/5 on ThemeForest), and it follows best practices. No formal external security audit is published; the theme receives regular updates.

Internationalization

Yes. For a multilingual site, use the bundled WPEstate Translate plugin. It translates properties, agents, pages, menus and theme strings, and can auto-translate with OpenAI, Google Translate, DeepL or Microsoft Azure. To run the site in a single language, you can also translate the included .po files with Loco Translate or Poedit. WPML and Weglot are supported too.

Yes. The theme includes a WPML configuration file for properties, agents, agencies, developers, their taxonomies and custom fields. You can also use the bundled WPEstate Translate plugin instead.

Polylang can be used, but the theme’s multilingual support is built for the bundled WPEstate Translate plugin and for WPML. We recommend WPEstate Translate.

Yes. The theme is RTL-ready, allowing proper layout and text direction for right-to-left languages out of the box.

Yes. There is a dedicated RTL Arabic demo at https://rtl.wpresidence.net. You can also import the RTL demo via the official demo import guide, and customize RTL styles via the rtl.css child theme method if needed.

Yes. With existing translation files and support for tools like Loco Translate, you can fully translate the theme into Chinese or any other language.

Yes. WPResidence supports unit display in both metric (square meters) and imperial (square feet). You can control formatting via theme settings.

Yes. With the bundled WPEstate Translate plugin you can translate property titles, descriptions, custom fields and theme labels, by hand or with auto-translate. WPML and Weglot also work.

Yes. The theme is multi-currency ready. You can display prices in different currencies and formatting based on language or region.

Yes. You have flexibility to format price display, such as includes decimals, symbols, or thousands separators , via theme options.

Yes. WPResidence has a Multi Currency feature that converts the stored base price into the visitor’s selected currency. In Theme Options → General → Price & Currency you can add a Currencylayer.com API key and turn on automatic daily exchange rate updates, or you can set the rates manually. Visitors switch currencies with the Multi Currency widget, and the theme displays the converted price. Each property still stores one base price, so conversion is for display. If you use a cache plugin, exclude the widget cookies my_custom_curr, my_custom_curr_pos, and my_custom_curr_symbol so switching works correctly

No. There are no built-in country-level global settings, but you can customize search fields, currency, and language per your localization needs.

Yes. You can list properties from any country. International location fields (country, city, area) can be configured via custom taxonomies to fit your site’s geography.

Yes. WPResidence is compatible with Weglot, allowing auto-translations and a switcher for multilingual content.

Yes. If you use SEO plugins like Yoast or Rank Math along with WPML or Weglot, your site’s sitemaps will automatically include multilingual links.

The theme adds a GDPR consent checkbox to contact forms, set in Theme Options → Social & Contact → Contact Form Settings. It does not include a cookie notice, so use a cookie consent plugin for that.
