The current rules: DMCC Act 2024, not NTSELAT. The original NTSELAT material information guidance (Parts A, B, C) was formally withdrawn in early May 2025. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, enforced by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), is now the operative regime. The CMA now holds direct enforcement powers under the DMCC Act, including the ability to impose fines and take action without going through the courts (per Propertymark). Parts A/B/C remain a useful reference, just not live statutory guidance.

Tenure (Part A / DMCC). Dropdown: Freehold, Leasehold, Commonhold, Share of Freehold. Add a conditional “Leasehold Years Remaining” field. Short leases (under ~80 years) affect mortgageability.

EPC rating (A-G). Must appear on every listing under the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations 2012. Note: failing to display the EPC rating on a listing or marketing without a valid EPC can lead to fines under these Regulations, enforced by Trading Standards (GOV.UK).

Council tax band. England uses bands A-H, Wales A-I, Scotland A-H. Northern Ireland uses domestic rates instead.

Note (Illustrative): Certification proves the pipeline works, but doesn’t guarantee correct field mapping. A custom property type like “Mixed-Use Unit” that doesn’t map to Rightmove’s propertySubType enum can land in the wrong category. Map every custom type before go-live.

The WordPress solution: Property Hive. The free Property Hive plugin (wp-property-hive.com) plus the paid “Rightmove & OnTheMarket RTDF” add-on covers both portals. Step 5: Get UK Privacy and Compliance Right

UK GDPR, ICO registration, and PECR cookie rules are non-negotiable for estate agents.

UK GDPR and ICO registration. UK GDPR has applied since 1 January 2021. ICO registration is mandatory for estate agencies.

Current 2025 ICO data protection fee tiers (effective 17 February 2025):
